    Unhappy Lost my lens hood

Anyone know where I can get a genuine 24-105mm lens hood?

I have just been checking my kit and noticed that the lens hood is missing from my 24-105 F4 lens.

I must have dropped it when I went out last Thursday.

    Hi Peter

    Thanks for the link
I have just had a look at the link and one of them is only £9.99. It seems a little to cheap for a Genuine Canon item. not that I am complaining it thats the correct price.

    Re: Lost my lens hood

Phil I have a Mamiya rubber hood on my 100-400, not genuine canon but it is flexible so it can stay on the lens, you just pull and push it for up and down.

    Re: Lost my lens hood

Serious money for such a simple piece of kit. I once lost the hood for my Canon 100-400IS. I purchased a Canon replacement but can't help feeling that a third paty hood would have been equally effectual.

    Re: Lost my lens hood

I bought a cheap Chinese copy lens hood for my EFs 10-22 off ebay for a fraction of the price Canon were charging.
Yes its nice to own the real thing but quite often the cheaper alternative does the job equally as good.

    Re: Lost my lens hood

    Thanks guys

I have ordered a genuine one from Warehouse Express. I know its not cheap but the lens is not that old and if I sell it at a later date I want it all to be genuine.
