    Remotes

ok tomorrow i am filming the national hectathlon on stoke

Wanting to get some still's so i am going to put my 500D on a tripod.
I need a remote to take the pics though.

Any ideas whats best to get ?

I have been looking at the basic canon wireless remote , the hahnel remote & flash trigger or just the hahnel remote cable switch ??

    Cheers

I have the Hahnel wireless remote, without the flash trigger, and it works well for me

    Re: Remotes

I have a Hahnel wireless remote for my Canon 7D and I am a little dissapointed in the delay from pressing the remote to the shutter release. It let me down when I was covering an inter company cricket match. I had t take more shots than anticipated to make sure I captured the action. Maybe they are all like this but I am going to switch back to a cable connection to see if I can improve on the delay problem.
If anyone has any comments I am open for information as usual.

    Re: Remotes

I have Hahnel HW433C80 wireless remote and have had no problems using it with 350D and 40D.
Can't say I notice any time delay either, although it can be set for a 3 second delay.

The RC1 works fine, no delay unless you set it to 2 seconds.
