As that can't get me the 911 turbo I was after, I am looking at a new tripod head possibly, so thought of
the manfrotto 410 junior geared head maybe?
Anyone got one of these? Good/Bad ?
Or any other ideas within the budget as I am stumped at the moment?

Was going to buy one Mark, but decided against it - it's a lot bigger than I thought. However, it is a solid head, and very smooth to use.

I am tempted by the new Manfrotto joystick head.
A guy in our Camera Club has one and its a lovely piece of kit to use and it locks rock solid.
They come in a couple of sizes depending on the weight of camera/lens.

Oh my husband had one of those and I hated it - so did he as he took it back almost as soon as he got it!
I've got the Manfrotto 410 geared head and I love it.

I found it hard to adjust and didn't like the trigger action but I do have FM which affects my wrists.
I also found it less accurate to position than the gearded head, especially when setting up macro shots.

    Mark,

The Junior Geared head is great and fits nicely in your budget. There are also some very nice ball heads at that price point - have a look on Warehouse Express, that will give you an idea of what is available.

I found it quite quick and easy to use. Perhaps I'll try it again if I get the chance.
