    Shutter Cable

Hi Guys , I went out in the garden to take some shots using my Canon 40D with a Canon shutter cable but the shutter cable keeps jamming up when i press the button , i think it might be on its way out and i would appreciate it if anyone has had this trouble or i might need a new shutter cable . Thanks Frank

Not had this myself, Frank, but the only thing I can think of is to check you haven't inadvertently enabled Mirror Lock Up (MLU) in the camera settings.
Can sometimes catch you out, as it requires a 2nd button press to take the image (if you are not in Liveview).
Maybe worth a check before righting off the cable ?

    Re: Shutter Cable

    Hi Frank,

I had a remote release on a previious camera which had a function where you couold lock the shutter in the on position (if you were using bulb for instance). It was easy to press the remote shutter and lock it by accident. Could this be the cause of the issue?

    Regards

    Hugh
