    Camera Straps

    Hi,

I want to replace the standard Canon camera straps on a 5DII and a 1DIII with something that is more comfortable and more anonymous eg plain black neoprene neck/shoulder strap, which include a quick release, like the the ones produced by Op/Tech or available via the EOS Magazine shop.

    http://www.eos-magazine.com/EOS%20Co...op/straps.html

Has anyone used either of these makes. Can anyone recommend them or if not suggest an alternative?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi

I haven't got one but understand that a lot of folk like the Black Rapid range. Google it and see what you think.

black rapid - optech are two. But it depends on how you want to carry the cameras. Are you wanting to carry both at the same time? in which case both of these offer a range. I have the black rapid and it works well

Like Baz, I have Optech neck-straps on all bodies and, as well as 'nice and wide', I would emphasise that they are very comfortable andeasy to adjust.

I use a Blackrapid sport and find it much better than an OEM strap.

    Re: Camera Straps

I used the Optech strap for a while and found it great but then moved to the Blackrapid sport and now will not go back to the neck strap I find it so much more comfotrable and convenient to have the camera hanging by my side

    Re: Camera Straps

I use Q Strap slings which are similar to Blackrapid but less than half the price. They have a metal plate and screw down locking clip for quick release and have a small pocket in the shoulder pad for a CF card or SD card. I got both of mine from ebay at about £13 each.
