What is your favourite photo paper?

I usually use Canon Matte Photo Paper or Pro Platinum for A4 and Fine Art Premium Matte for A3+ with my Pro 9000 printer.

I am thinking of trying something different, such as Permajet Matt or Oyster. What make and finish do you use? Also looking for something that is suitable for greetings cards, so reasonably heavyweight.

I have the permajet Oyster, they have ICC profiles for it on their website as well.

    Seems pretty nice to me.

    Thanks James

I have ordered some Permajet Oyster and went to their website to download the ICC profile. It started off ok my name, printer etc. then when I clicked to download it I became totally baffled! Loads of gobbledegook but nothing to click on to download that I could see. Did I miss something?

Canon printer, canon inks and Canon paper.

But I have been tempted with Permajet Oyster ..... must do something about it!

Note to self: get off backside and sort it!

Once you have put in all your info and put in the printer and paper info, there is a box on the right which tells you the selected profile and tells you to click and download. Click on the text in the box and that should download for you:

Thanks James. I got to that bit but that is when about ten billion words of gibberish appeared and I could not see what to do next. I could copy and paste it to here but it would probably overload the site!

Weird, what browser are you using?

Have you tried again in case it was an internet burp?

Re: What is your favourite photo paper?

Hi James, I tried it again tonight and the same thing happened, so I sent Permajet an email. I am using a Mac and Safari.
Didn't get all this when I used Kodachrome!

You smug mac users always telling us 'it just works' :) In your face! :)

Ahem, sorry about that little outburst, years of "haha your using a pc, no wonder it didn't work" obviously built up inside....

I think Google Chrome is available for Macs now, might be worth giving that a try, I have used that on PC and it worked fine.

    Yes, very amusing James

This is just a tiny sample of what I am getting:4Bœt™'WŒŠ+l2L74x*'7)D
    iBK†I/RlWZ^-_fAν9mB\

Hope to get this sorted soon as I have ordered 100 sheets of A4 and 25 A3+!
