    Is there a canon equivalent?

    Re: Screen protector

Haven't seen one like that for Canon, but I would recommend the Giottos glass protector which seems a little more streamlined than the type you show.

I like but my canon's (400 and 500D) dont have any where to fix this on, I did try the clear stick on things but I found that I left them in the bag as pull the camera out...

    Re: Screen protector

I seem to recall that Canon screens can be replaced as a kit. Comes with suction pad to remove the old one and a new screen. Cost a couple of years ago was £10+vat.

At that price (assuming the kit is still available), there is little point in paying up to three times for a protector.

Thanks Mark for these, but they are quite a bit of money just to cover the screen plus they look stick on not like the (dare i say it) Nikon..

    Re: Screen protector

When I first bought my 1D mkIII from Warehouse Express, I also ordered one of those Giotto screen protectors.
It lasted for one week before the adhesive lost it's "stick".

Fortunately the vendors accepted that this wasn't right and refunded me in full on return of the screen protector.

Shame Canon don't have something like the Nikon equivalent as it makes more sense for traveling purposes and can come off when in use.

I've got one of the Giottos protectors and it's served me well, and no problems with not sticking to the camera...very secure fit

Here's an actual repalcement screen. Apparently, with a little patience, not too hard to fit either.

    Re: Screen protector

I think Chaps there is a gap in the market for something that you can put on the screen and not just something with sticky back tape, I am thinking something that can fit the whole back of the canon's and still lets you have access to the buttons.
something along the lines of a underwater housing but not so chunky.
