CA-570 canon power supply

Hello All.
I have been trying to see if I can find a mains power supply for my Canon 40D. The canon website claims the CA-570 power supply is compatible, and a website I found advertises it as being useable to power the 40D. However, from the diagram of accessories inside the 40D's manual, it only shows the CA-570 connecting to a double-battery charger (CG-570) and not to the camera itself. Furthermore, I can't fathom where it would even connect to the 40D.

Can anyone tell me if they know it can somehow, or perhaps know of another mains power supply for the Canon 40D.

It doesn't specifically refer to the 40D in this link but the ACK-E2 is listed in the System Chart for the 40D.

Hi All, would that charger work with the 50D as well or is there another answer for that camera?

I think the 40D and 50D use the same battery so I would say yes
