I really like this - you would never know it was a zoo shot and it is pin sharp! I didn't know they are so colourful.

They really are lovely birds and are quite used to people, so not worried about perching very close.
Here's a couple of other shots, the first on one of the fences, same lens, at 98mm and the second a close up portrait with the lens at 140mm. both are almost the full frame .Worth mentioning that neither needed much processing - the more I use the 7D the more and more I love it

A lovely series of shots Stan. I really like the first and last shots.
I haven't really gotten to grips with the 7D yet and am still inconsistent with it. Plus I think one of my lenses may be on the fritz.

I am probably quite lucky in sussing it quite quickly, mind you I've taken about 4000 shots already so I've had the practice and many still end up in the binI haven't really gotten to grips with the 7D yet and am still inconsistent with it.
