I know it's a Vine Weevil - nasty critters... but there are maybe different sub-species perhaps.
Spotted a weevil - gently and somewhat precariously walking up a small shrub's main trunk - and seeing as I had a yellow on yellow recently with a wasp,

Had an early morning start to Richmond Park to photograph the red deer rutting. Unfortunately traffic problems meant it took 3.5hrs for a usual 2hr journey.
