SIGNATURE BRUSHES
This will work with PS, though for versions prior to PS7 the maximum size will be 700 pixels. Newer versions will go up to 2500 pixels.
First, create a new document and set the size to 2500x400 pixels (taller if you want to add a higher graphic element) and set the background to Transparent.

Click OK and then choose your font and text size and type in your text. If you want the © symbol, hold down CTRL and type 0169.

At this stage, you can crop the excess from around the text to reduce the size of the frame a little. Now go to the EDIT menu and scroll down to Define Brush Preset.

Give your file a logical title, such as Copyright Signature, and click OK, which will save the brush.

Now select your photograph, and once you have resized it for the web or for printing, click on the BRUSH tool in the icons panel.

Place your signature in the correct position over your photograph, and click your mouse button to place it.

If the signature is too large, click on the size box at the top of the screen and select the pixels (or you can use the shortcut keys [ and ] to change the pixels size). Click your brush on the image to place it where you want it to be.

Now you have the right size and position, you may want to make your signature less prominent, so you can reduce the opacity by selecting the "Fade Brush" in the EDIT menu.

The new popup box will have the opacity option, move the slider to the left until you are happy with how it looks.

Now all you have to do is save your new photograph with your completed watermark and print it out or post it onto the forums.
Paul.
