I spent a few days with Hadrian in the Peak District over the summer. We had one evening of good light and I was very impressed by the natural beauty of the area and lucky to benefit from Hade's local knowledge - and navigation.
Here's one taken from the slopes of Higgor Tor a short while before sundown.
5D MkII, 16-35 F2.8L at 17mm, ISO 200, F19 for 1/60 sec, tripod, 3 stop ND grad, rr. I used ISO 200 to increase the shutter speed to avoid movement in the grass while still retaining a narrow aperture.
WDYT?

I woke up at silly o'clock a few days ago & couldn't get back to sleep

So,I decided to go & take a few sunrise shots from my favourite location, the South Gare breakwater. The sunrise was stunning, with really vivid colours, which I've actually toned down a bit in this pic.

WDYT?

I have been trying to see the sea for over 20 years, I have had this dream that one day I would make it, for the members that don't know me, I am very disabled and it's only in the last 3 years I have been out of my house, now I can travel for a few miles on my mobility scooter and a short trip in the car.
This is Charmouth in Dorset, it's over 30 miles away from my house, my dream came true :) I made it.
Here is my effort, I never had my tripod, just wet feet :) and this huge storm was heading my way.

where the counties of derbyshire, staffordshire, and cheshire meet theres a quaint but very popular waterfall sort of feature known as three shires head, apparently its very popular with togs. i saw a walker there this morning who told me there were about 30 people basking in the sun here last week with a group of about 5 taking photos. i decided to visit this morning as it was fairly flat light and being a monday should be quiet, its not normally my cup of tea long exposures and all that but i thought i'd give it a go. heres the result, reasonably happy but prefer wide far reaching scenery
