Hi
there is a way of attaching your download lead to a Digital picture frame and creating live veiw maybe this will help.

Hi stealth it sounds a good idea but it`s only a 7inch frame so it would`n be the best quality but still a good idea though.
Thanks for the input!

ok back with some more questions!
I`ve already mentioned i`m completly paralysed from the neck down, so obviously if the camera needs to be manualy focusing i can`t do it, so which macro lens would i need for the best autofocusing?
Another thing is i`ve been seaching for a motorised tripod if they exsist? i`ve got a woman coming about all the varios things i could have eg open & close doors, lock doors, open & close window, she`s some sort of engineer for getting thing made for each individuals needs so i`m going to ask her i think, while i`m at it i`m gonna ask her if she could incoperate some sort of actuators for the zoom/focus.

on the motorised tripod front have a look at this
Hague Remote Pan & Tilt Power Head
but you'll need this to go with it
USB Pan Tilt Controller USB
the price doesn't seem all bad at a couple of hundred quid if it's what your looking for
as far as zoom n focus goes i think you might struggle because each lens would need something making up and then getting control software written up i havn't heard of or seen anything off the shelf
maybe the person who's coming round could help on that

Hi rob hows it goin!
What i`ve found sinse i had the accident is there`s **** loads of products for the disabled, but there`s a couple of things that realy bug me. 1 is the price of things, if it`s for the disabled it`s espensive. 2 is lack of pruducts for higher legions like myself, there`s only a few things they can realy do eg i`ve got a thing called a possum companian which essentially is a remote control for things like tv,sky, dvd player but there`s a woman who comes out to see me & make sure i`ve got everything i need but she`s also hooking my possum up so i can open & close doors/windows/blinds, lock them ect
So i`m hpoing she will be able to help!

B. Hague & Co. Ltd Pan & Tilt Power Heads
Now it`s come down to which lens? i`ve already got a 105mm f/2.8 ex dg, but i think i need to updade to something built for true macro`s but obviously i need something with a fast crystal clear af & best DOF! so where do i go from here?
Btw i`m getting the 550d.

Is it the Sigma - if so Paul uses one to great effect. Other choices at a reasonable price would be the tamron 90 f2.8 which I habve used for the past two years and the quality is excellent or the canon EF-S 60 f2.8, which my wife has recently got and I now tend to borrow and use more than the tamronNow it`s come down to which lens? i`ve already got a 105mm f/2.8 ex dg

Hi Neal,
I can't help much but it might be worth checking out the "handsfree" systems that skydiving photographers use.
There was an article in a mag I read recently where the camera is helmet mounted so obviously they had an alternative focussing system attached to a set of goggles.
Hope this helps - sorry it's a little off-subject but may allow you freedom from the PC a bit.
As regards macro, you would be best off with a smaller aperture of maybe f/11, that's roughly the sweet spot of many lenses.

hi thomasday
I bought one of these YouTube - Hague Remote Pan & Tilt Power Head plus the 30m cable extender & one of these B. Hague & Co. Ltd Pan & Tilt Power Heads for pc control.
The main thing thats stopping me from ordering is which lens to order!
