I met a chap in Glencoe this week who pointed me in this direction so here I am. I got my first DSLR a couple of years ago and started with a 40D and have since upgraded everything (little does she know, oops!!) and now i definitely know it's not the equipment that's producing poor pictures. So i've bought more books than i can shake a stick at, tried to get out as much as possible and hopefully with your help I'll learn a lot faster. I must say though at the end of the day for me it's about being out and about enjoying seeing everything in a different way. Long may it last

Just back from my fortnight in the highlands so I thgought I'd take the time to extend a proper welcome! It was me that you met in Glencoe - I'll try to post a shot from the same spot taken this morning, with a foot of snow on the ground.
