Certaiinly like the details and water movement in the foreground and some nice hues in the sky. Wonder if a crop on from the RHS to remove the small rock on its own might help to improve the comp. Just a suggestion

Made the very early and challenging trek to Mupe Bay on Sunday morning.
You can only get to Mupe when the army ranges are open, which for sunrise generally means a Sunday.
Getting here involves a good hours hike in the dark over some very steep terrain, the nearest parking being Lulworth Cove.
Then once down on the ledges it very tricky under foot indeed.
I think if it went wrong here, your way out would be by helicopter
Being my first visit here, I am not sure I nailed the composition (which I found quite challenging too), but look forward to
the next visit now being a bit more familiar with the place. I can see it being quite addictive
This was taken just at that moment where night turns into day.
40D, 10-20 @ 10. f/16. 1.5secs.
C&C welcome as always.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Stu. Well done on finding a new location and it was clearly well worth the effort. Cracking foreground in this one with the coloured rocks visible beneath the water and the light picking out details in the exposed rocks. It's a great pic but I think the skittle shaped rock is, perhaps, a tiny bit too central and overpowering - not sure.

Thanks Rich, Alun.
Thought I would give the centralish rock a go, but plenty more from this trip to look at.
A couple of lessons were learned from visiting Mupe.
1) Go on a higher tide. There is some breathtaking rocks behind me here and it would avoid so much crawling over the ledges to get the sea in shot.
2) Walk round Lulworth Cove rather than take the rather scary path over the top, saves a good 15 minutes
Thanks for the feedback guys. Nice one.

I like the idea but it needs a more dominant main subject something like the left side foreground and the distant rock. Rob

Rob,
I will bear that in mind for the next visit. Thanks for the good feedback.
