Foraging Mountain Pony

This is a discussion on Foraging Mountain Pony within the Monochrome forum, part of the Galleries and Techniques category; I like both images Alun, but probably prefer the second and I like the title too! Ffion...

Beautiful portrait Alun and again excellent Mono work.

Bad Hair day is spot on but it looks really good in this shot :)

    Re: Foraging Mountain Pony

Well I like both very much Alun.

Ponies are wonderful beasts in the wild, I've seen them, but never managed to capture them on camera.

    Paul.
Thanks, Paul. Now I know full well that were you to get a shot we'd be treated to the detail in an eye or see individual hairs as mysterious, treetrunk like objects
(For those who have not seen the variety of work Paul produces, I should add that he's as talented at landscapes as he is at macro but I like to pull his leg )

I like both images Alun, but probably prefer the second and I like the title too!

I used to suffer from 'bad hair days' but time has a cruel way of solving the problem

Beautiful portrait Alun and again excellent Mono work.

Thanks, Ian. I enjoy converting to mono but have no hard and fast rules for conversion.

I think MONO is subjective. It certainly is something that can be tailored to each individual image but I do like what you do with it :)

Now then Mr Davies a pair of cracking mono images there. They have a beautiful quality to them full of texture and great tones.

    Very very nice indeed.
