....a bit dark for MY liking.

    Let there be light.

Well-observed, Keith. Composition is great but not so sure about the heavy blacks in this one. It struck me that you wanted to emphasise the light on the Church and darken the material world of Mammon, symbolised by the sign. However, I feel this one, for me, is a tiny bit too dark around the periphery if I'm completely honest. You know I really like your b&w work and so I'm being hyper-critical.

I like the idea and the composition, my only nit would be that another step to the right would just have separated the fcuk sign and the church steeple a fraction more - perhaps you wanted the contact to link the two, I don't know.

Thanks Alun. Yes, you are right about the light/dark areas. Glad someone noticed the attempt at symbolism

Thanks Ffion. Interesting that you should write that - someone on another forum suggested the same. Next time I'm in Bath...

Having constructive criticism/comments like these from Alun and Ffion is what (for me) this forum is all about!

The signs take over too much in this for my eyes, I feel it needs some simplification. Rob
