    Re: challenge 45.

what a lot of interesting edits. i hope you enjoyed playing.

    my comments.

markone - nice edit. i see (well i think) a green layer on the far shore that you forgot to remove from the ardvasar hotel. i am going to tell richard (the owner) what you did and give him your details so he can charge you for a frontage clean. mind you it needs one anyway.

piano - your hotel is nice and white. but the clouds in the sky arnt quite so well finished. and did you get p/p for that flag in front o ma hoose!!!

perterc4 - very well done and the mermaid blends in with "er" good taste.

hugh - you sound stressed and it shows on the gloomy image. you need a large wee dram up wi grumpygeorge on skye.

frank - you always do an interesting one and this is no exception. but the foreground water is a bit arty.

pete.w - i am surprised at how dark the seaweed looks. not sure what you are doing here.

nog - you are totally insane in a very nice way. i give you 100% for insanity. if thats skye, year 2030, then start bidding for my real estate folks and i am talking starting bids at £1million +.

essex chap - a very nice edit with a rather clumsy implant. mind you them fish look clumsy, so its not that bad.

stuartinperth - thats a very interesting sky you brought out there. but something looks out of line. watch photoshop, cos it does this sometimes if you copy/paste an area instead of the whole image. it pastes it in at a pixel out of line. it looks like that. check the hotel = the most obvious bit.

anotyad - another nice edit, but too much green on the foreground seaweed.

well, its all just for fun and thank you for playing the game. its finking time for grumpy = now i have to decide.

and congratulations all for presenting clean images

    the winner is peterc4.

    its over to peter now.

Well done Peter - nice mermaid - and thereby hangs a tale

Grumps - didn't realise that was the Ardvasar hotel from that angle. Me and Sue went there for our first holiday together in 1981. Stayed at a little cottage just down the road. Went fishing and broke my rod in the car door! Lovely place. Absolutely free from light pollution then. Must go again.

Grumps enjoyed this but am puzzled why colours when posted were som much more muted than in photoshop?
also didnt do any cut and paste, did straighten but nothing that should have altered image.

file - save for web and devices is how i do it and i just take note of exif from original file. you can also decide how large to save and if you stay high, there is little visible squigglie tell tale compressiion bits. as for what happened to your sharpness, that is a mystery, but the fact that it exists = something happened

Nice one Peter, I think the best man won, really nice conversion and merged very nicely with the mermaid image.
