Hi all, thought we would put this together so you all know a bit about the CFF Team..




Alex (Admin/owner)

Real Name - Alex Scott
Age - Bloody Old
Lives - Middle of nowhere, Lanarkshire, Scotland
Home life - Married to the lovely Maryann and we have two kids, Ben who is 5 and Katie 2.
Photography interests - Landscapes is my main thing though I do like taking portraits and the odd wildlife shot.
About - I work in the construction industry and have done since I left school, really enjoy getting stuck into things and then seeing the end result.
Photography wise, I started with a 20D in 2005 and have moved onto a 40D with a few bits and bobs to go with it. Love being out in the open and trying to capture scenes my way and Scotland gives me a fantastic canvas to do this. I also enjoy camping and walking a wee bit and the photography lets me do all this at the same time which makes it so enjoyable. I've just bought myself another bass guitar after selling my old one to fund the 20D, so the fingers are sore learning all the old songs again.

Home Life - Married to Joan and have a son Harrison (14)
Photography interests - Mainly Wildlife and nature.
About - I work in communications industry, photography being a hobby/passion. I have dabbled in photography since about 1985, but it has become a serious hobby since 2005 when I purchased a Canon 300D, then a 30D and now the 1DMK3. This year (2009) I attained my Licentiateship to the Royal Photographic Society. I am a member of the Society fo International Nature & Wildlife Photographers and a member of the Lee Valley Nature Photographers.

Real Name - Paul Iddon
Age - Pre-historic (49)
Lives - Preston, Lancashire, England
Home life - Married to Gillian, daughter Rachel is 13
Photography interests - Macro especially - an underrated genre. I also like abstract still life stuff.
About - Store Manager for Jessops in Warrington. Married since 1986, and one kid is enough! Got a cat who is schizoid! Fan of Everton FC & Wigan Warriors. Enjoys online PC games such as Call of Duty (Black Hawk Down in the olden days - I used to design maps for BHD). My dream gear would be either a 5D or a 7D with something "L" attached to the front... Grumpygeorge (Mod)

Real Name - George Smart
Age - still under 60
Lives - Ardvasar - South end of Skye.
Home life - Married to Serena, and we have 2 x jack russels and 2 parrots at home.
Photography interests - i always say, anything thats got lots of colour, but its mostly landscapes and the wee birds in my garden.
About - farmers son = started as a farmer, i had my own band for some years, made money, bought a site = then 20 years (of 4hrs sleep) building a garden centre, it grew = 7 tills, 150 cars parking, etc. had plenty much of that =got rid of it, moved to skye and took up a digital camera and self taught myself photography/editing/printing. now selling my work in my (wife and me) shop at armadale.

Lez S (Mod)

Real Name - Lez Slack
Age - Wrong side 'O 50
Lives - Edinburgh, Bonnie Scotland
Home life - Married to Ann for the last 8 years, but been together for 19y. We have no children,
but I have 3 from previous relationship (oldest is 34)
Photography interests - Mmmm, hard one to say. Love being outdoors, so Landscape & Wildlife mainly.
However, I want to get more involved with studio/location type work. Got back into Photography in
2006 when I bought a 30D for a trip to the Seychelles. Now the proud owner of a 40D and 5D MkII, and
a nice clutch of lens's
About - Now a retired Avionics Eng, have been involved with teaching Electronics at HNC level. Also
taught Electronics & Computer Aided Design at an Information Technology Center.

Alun (Mod)

Real Name - Alun Davies
Age - 47 but still young enough to recall wanting to appear older
Lives - Cardiff.
Home life - Married to Ruth, with three fine sons, Sion (19) studying acting in Guild Hall, Steffan (17) - a musician for whom life is one long gig and Ifan (15) who is quiet but very calm and astute.
Photography interests - Mainly landscape but also b&w and macro - I was inspired by a certain Scot(t) and haven't looked back although I've taken pictures (badly) for many years. Have worked my way through the 30D, 40D, 5D and now use the 5D MkII
About - Ours is a Welsh speaking household. My wife and I are from West Wales originally (more sons and daughters of former farmers). I am Headteacher at a Welsh medium Comprehensive school of 973 pupils of whom I am very proud. Family, school and photography are about all I have time for, really. I do play a few instruments badly but am pleased that the kids at home are far more talented in this respect.
